When you register for Dark Renaissance, we collect your email address, chosen display name, date of birth for age verification, and your IP address for security purposes. During gameplay we record session data including login timestamps, game actions, and device information such as browser type and operating system. We do not collect financial data — there are no purchases available in the game. We may also receive anonymised analytics data through standard web tracking technologies to understand how players navigate the site and where we can improve the experience.
Your data is used to operate and improve the game, verify your identity and age, prevent fraud and abuse, communicate service updates or security alerts, and respond to your support enquiries. We analyse aggregated gameplay data to balance game mechanics and plan new features. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Data processing is conducted on servers located in Canada, and we apply industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Under applicable data protection laws, including PIPEDA and GDPR where relevant, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your data and account, object to certain processing activities, and request data portability in a machine-readable format. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request" and we will respond within 30 days.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days and purge backup copies within 90 days. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by law.
